About Us

pastordonActs29 is a ministry that is people focused.  Most of our efforts are concentrated on the nation of Haiti, but we help sponsor other mission fields where possible.

About Pastor Don...

I grew up in a typically normal family. In my teens, I began to experiment with drugs and when I was 19 and married, I got involved in the pornography industry. I produced pornography for 6 years.  On September 29, 1990, I had an encounter with Jesus Christ in my bedroom. I prayed the Lord's Prayer as best as I could remember it. During that process, I became born again. Four weeks later I was baptized in the Holy Spirit in my living room floor. I began attending church soon after that and I was ordained as a pastor in April 2004. I worked in many ministry areas of the church including youth, children’s, outreach, media and missions. During that time, I did missions work in Russia, Mexico, The Philippines, Cuba and Haiti. I lived in Haiti for 2 terms in 2001-02 and 2007-08. During the year of 2008, there were 4 hurricanes that hit the country. At that time, we left the Titanyen area and moved to Cabaret. We now have full time ministry in 17 villages above and around Section 4.  Because our ministry is about people, my past experiences have helped to me to become a better minister, no mater what country I am in. Because most of my missions work was in third world countries, I learned to be able to live and work in those kinds of environments.  It is always a humbling experience when you can see, with your own eyes, the manifestation of Calvary change a person’s life. Whether it is someone steeped in Voodoo, or someone addicted to pornography, I have seen Jesus not intimidated by any of it. My greatest joy is to see someone who has taken the difficult times of life and use them to help others. To me, missions work is not just about winning souls. It is about seeing a transformation take place in people’s lives. This is why I feel I can minister in places like Haiti. The people there are so trapped by witchcraft and superstitions.
