It is overwhelming to see God's love for every nation, every people group, and every individual. I recently saw all three in Papua New Guinea as there are 879 people groups in that nation.
A lot of what I had learned at Christ for the Nations, and growing up in Haiti, helped prepare me for all I got to be a part of. In fact, the very opportunities that we had in Acts 29, were the very ones that I got to see reproduced in Papua New Guinea. Without that ongoing experience and support with Acts 29, the trip wouldn't have been as successful as it was.
In Papua New Guinea, I lived in two different villages. The first was inside of a large valley and the second was near a river out by the mountains. During that time, I had the chance to help with leading church crusades, pray for the sick, prayer over pastors, holding multiple children's clubs in surrounding schools, playing the drums in a crusade (my first time in front of a crowd!), and minister to the families of the villages daily. I also got to experience the culture. I bathed in a river for two weeks, held a python snake, ate boiled banana and potatoes every day and got to preach in a public market to around 400 people. Families were restored, people were healed, and evangelists were sent out. There was not one I met that didn't have a heart that needed a Jesus kind of love. It was a great couple of weeks.
